At the beginning of October, the Project Design Team of the AI2ImproveFLL met at a three-day workshop in Leuven (Belgium), hosted by UCLL University. This is the first - and perhaps only - live meeting of all the partners.
The Digital Creators Foundation collaborates in this international group with institutions such as KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), UCLL (Belgium), HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Netherlands), Uskudar MEM (Turkey) or Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine).
In Leuven we jointly developed a structure blended learning course and module "Teach the Trainer"based on the principles of ethical and responsible use of AI in language education. We discussed the quality of education (and the use of the very interesting pQBL methodology in practice), an impact analysis of the project and a communication plan to reach teachers across Europe.
This meeting showed that the future of language teaching is not about replacing humans with artificial intelligence - but about Strengthening the role of the teacher through cleverly designed AI tools.
Project AI2ImproveFLL is implemented as part of the Erasmus+ programme from 2024 to 2027.
